At the end of the efficiency road stands AI, the latest product of human ingenuity. AI introduces something else in human productions, that creeps in barely noticeable.
A saw, and a block-plane will determine the outcome. Wood that once had irregular and organic forms, through the process of carpentry, becomes shaped into objects with rigid lines and surfaces.
That's why in the distant past the "invention" of the wheel was controversial. Because the wheel was a geometric object existing as a divine symbol in the mystery centers. To apply it in a purely utilitarian way meant de-sacralizing it.
And so, many objects and processes came to have a profane function. Although it meant a technological progress, it was paid for by gradually loosing the sense of the divine nature of the world, in profit of pure functionality.
In pre-christian times, every activity was still hulled in cultic rituals: lighting a fire was done while calling upon divinities and invoking nature beings.
At every start and ending of an activity, a kind of saying grace was performed.
Today this sense of the divine and spiritual nature of all things has been lost, and only what is functional is celebrated. This is an unseen shift, to a magnitude hardly imagined by current humanity.
It means a "descend" into matter and its pure laws of the world's mineral aspect. It is a rigidification that happens, both to the man-made world, and the soul.
But the breathing gesture of sawing and planing, which brings entirely different processes into the crafting of wood, is replaced by rigid processes. A bandsaw for instance does all the work, all that is needed is guiding the piece of wood with heightened attention, while a physical effort, and a producing warmth in the activity, is absent. The table-saw will allow guiding a piece of wood along its rip fence, without any other skill than pushing it along that pre-established fence.
Everything goes faster, and human implication is reduced to attention, knowledge, and rigidified gestures, where a cold holding back is more present than warm involvement. All the steps, from Antiquity where hand-gestures, precision, force, attention, feeling, etc, still guided the process, now gradually have become rigidified, and in fact Ahrimanic, without humanity noticing it.

A reptilian nature emerges, seeking to shape the human being into a reptilian, dragon-like nature.
Ossification, down to the nervous system is the end game. There where humanity should re-enliven its thinking and soul-life, a further deadening and crystallization is threatening. This is already amply noticeable in the rigid stances appearing in society, for instance in the polarization between left and right political views. Both tendencies are cast in their extreme, worst forms, in an endless duality: It is either this, or that, black or white, where all the scaling of lively colors have disappeared. Color itself is hijacked as dangerous territory and no longer seen for what it is. The world is seen through rigidified, caricaturized lenses once the soul-life scleroses.
Dogmas and doctrines appear in religion, seemingly offering firm ground. But the Christ-being is unnoticeable rejected in favor Ahrimanic rigidification. There where Christ would bring the fluidity of Life, hardening appears. While what is the Christ-being?
The Christ-being is infinitely complex. He is the Son or Sun-being, in one of his manifestations. This means that he embodies, amongst others, the Sun's spiritual aspect represented by the Spirits of Form, the Spirits of Movement, and the Spirits of Wisdom.
Thus, the triad of Exousiai, Dynamis, and Kyriotetes, namely in the form of their ancient Greek names as the three angelic choirs that make up the Second Sphere (Middle Hierarchy) of Christian angelology.
Form, Mouvement, and Wisdom, are the three keys to unlock the soul's imprisonment from the rigidification of the Ahrimanic being. Descending from Wisdom, through Movement, into Form is the incarnation process. Every thought, every soul manifestation, "descends" along this route.
The entire human organism "descends" through this "ladder", from germ through embryo-genesis to fully formed organism that is earth-ready.
On the soul-level, there where we experience soul aspects, such as ready made thoughts, or emotions, sensations, impulses, etc, these have actually come into being along the Wisdom - Movement - Form path.
Only the crystalized form remains visible as:
I have thoughts, feelings, emotions, sensations, etc.
But their process of coming into being is often concealed. Would we see it, the spiritual realm would become visible. Therefore, this process through the Wisdom - Movement - Form path, which in our time received the Ahrimanic impulses of speed and rigidification, need now be slowed down and entered with our awareness ('I').
So thinking for instance need to consciously be brought through the elements of Wisdom - Mouvement - Form as their essential ingredients.
This is the Christianizing, the re-enlivening of thinking, and can be applied to the soul-life in all its aspects.
Doing so, reveals at the same time the soul's spiritual nature, and how it partakes in the larger world-soul.
It is a resurrection of the soul from the rigidification of the grave. The body itself is thereby then animated by the soul, as a sensible, perceptive organism. This is the opposite of a technological rigidification, if not "optimization" in an Ahrimanic sense..
