The following points touch directly upon the heart of Steiner’s method. If we set aside conventional analytical frameworks to adopt a **purely phenomenological approach** to [this text](https://rsarchive.org/Lectures/GA173c/English/SOL/19170114p01.html?fbclid=IwY2xjawU52JlleHRuA2FlbQIxMABwZG9mAWJyaWQRMTNIY0RWVHpNV2FWeDdQUmJzcnRjBmFwcF9pZBAyMjIwMzkxNzg4MjAwODkyAAEeeA5u135%5Ft8Lsnr-eOmaZRqaAd6sebUBvHwcje2M0A8IiTDkOvkT9FQiOg7I%5Faem%5FgsCg6iMLVOhQYlsjTFiXnQ&ref=seeingbeyond.tech), we discover a dynamic and direct mapping of the human organism, free from any moralizing or reductionist prism.
Approaching the text "as it is"—as a rigorous observation of the processes at work—the analysis unfolds through its main phenomenological articulations:

### 1\. The Anchoring of the "I"-Organization and Its Pathological Release

In direct phenomenological observation, the human experience of the "I" is not a mere mental abstraction; it is an incarnated organizing force.

- **The Grip on the Organism:** The "I" finds its entry point and physical anchor in the **ganglionic system** (the solar plexus), directly linked to the organs of the lower abdomen. It is there that this force is held, contained, and bound to corporeal plasticity.
- **The Regulatory Role of the Physical Body:** By remaining anchored in this organic structure, the "I" is contained. The ganglionic system literally serves as a vessel or "brake" against the unilateral or egoistic tendencies (what Steiner terms the Luciferic inclination) inherent in individual consciousness.
- **The Phenomenon of Disruption and Dispersion:** When the abdominal organs lose their normal functioning or when this anchoring slackens, the "I" no longer fits properly into its physical structure. It "spills over" or partially disperses into the surrounding spiritual environment, to which it becomes highly sensitive, or perceptive.
- **The Manifestation of the Demonic/Abnormality:** Released from its organic containment without being mastered by clear spiritual perception, the individual element manifests its darker aspects in their raw state: deceitfulness, vanity, malice, or exaltation. These darker aspects having infiltrated the "I", as it were, in the course of world-evolution. This lens—as per Steiner's lecture (see article)—then provides the exact phenomenological description of what modern psychiatry labels "mental illness" or personality disorders, but viewed here from within: the excarnation of a force no longer held within its organic vessel.

### 2\. The Phenomenon of "Bliss" in Dissociation

A phenomenological analysis reveals a fundamental paradox subjectively experienced by the individual:

- **The Sensation of Release:** The partial departure of the higher members (Etheric, Astral, Ego) from physical constraints occurs through a pouring forth into the surrounding spiritual world. Phenomenologically, this process can accompanied by a direct feeling of bliss, fluidity, absence of obstacles, and delight, and simply remarkable everyday thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
- **Resistance to Healing:** Because this state of dissociation provides subjective satisfaction or relief at an unconscious level, the individual intrinsically resists returning to the heaviness of the physical organism. Thus, medical "cure" appears phenomenologically as a forced transition from a state of bliss to one of downcast restriction.

### 3\. The Physiology of the Elements and the Differentiation of Consciousness

By observing physical constitution and respiration, the text describes how different physical systems serve as instruments of perception and vehicles for various forces:

| **Physical Element** | **Organ / System** | **Consciousness Phenomenon / Force** |
| -------------------- | ----------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------- |
| **Solid (5%)** | Central Nervous System | Intellectual Thinking / Universal Equality |
| **Fluid (95%)** | Spinal Cord / Heart Pulsation | Transpersonal Sensitivity (Hierarchy of Angels) |
| **Airy / Pressure** | Ganglionic System | Collective Impulses / Climate (Archangels) |

- **The Respiratory System and Air:** The airy element, modulated by the ganglionic system, connects the human being to the geographical environment, climate, and collective spirits (the "folk spirits").
- **The Phenomenological Analogy Between Eros and National Sentiment:** By observing that national sentiment and the sexual impulse share the exact same organic foundation (the ganglionic system), the text demonstrates without detour why these two forces act so similarly: beneath the threshold of clear consciousness, both are instinctive, passionate, and generators of powerful, often uncontrollable collective dynamics.

### 4\. Thinking as "Seeing" and as an Act of Reorganization

Steiner’s phenomenological approach does not seek to label traumas or relive them through emotional catharsis.

- **Seeing the Processes:** True knowledge consists of **observing the reality of these internal dynamics** as one would observe a natural process.
- **The Impersonal Attitude:** By maintaining a clear, objective, and impersonal gaze upon how the "I" anchors into the solar plexus, how the cardiac fluid pulsates, and how the ganglionic system reacts, the human being awakens true spiritual perception.
- **Corrective Intervention:** It is this objective "seeing" through thinking (*das Sehen*) that subsequently allows one to consciously step into the organism, correct anchoring imbalances, and find a path out of chaos—without falling into illusions or superficial moral judgments.
