They view this material earth as a fallen, corrupted trash heap, or a dead playground where the lower self can play and exploit resources at will.
By refusing to let the spiritual cross the threshold into the physical, they stay on the reserve bench of life. They sit on the sidelines of the soccer field, shouting criticisms at what has fallen and decayed, completely refusing to participate in its active redemption.
This attitude reveals an ungrounded soul. To refuse to fully inhabit the physical world because it is "unholy" or "imperfect" is an evolutionary avoidance tactic.
These souls mistake their lack of grounding for holiness. They hide behind a rigid framework of religious or philosophical purism to shield themselves from the gritty, fluid, and complex reality of earthly existence.
Because they reject a proper relation to the earth, they cannot act as true agents of change. They cannot help the homeless person, they cannot heal a physical illness, and they cannot restructure a corrupt corporate economy. They have locked their spiritual concepts in a safe, sterile vault where those concepts can never get their hands dirty.
The supreme reality of the Christ Impulse is that the divine did not stay on the reserve bench.

Christ paved the way for the spirit to density, safely all the way down into the bones, the blood, and the daily marketplace.
When a person understands this monumental shift, they can no longer tolerate a philosophy that keeps the spiritual and the mundane separated.

Pulling this inner switch, the human "I" steps off the reserve bench. You stop guarding a fragile, abstract head sanctity, and start living out the true, dynamic purpose of evolution: actively working from within the material world to help it rebuild, re-fluidize, and finally become more itself.
